Marquette Women's Soccer Cultural Document

In 2024, I was elected to my Division I college soccer team's Leadership council, and we were tasked with creating a cultural document that would redefine the foundation of our program. Under the guidance of our new head coach, we developed a comprehensive vision statement and cultural document designed to set the standard for our team’s future success.

Over the span of a month, the other members of the council and I met many times to create a rough draft and eventually perfect an official document. We took input from every member of the team and worked with our coach to make sure we were setting our program up for success. I took on the majority of the writing portion by turning our shared ideas into a concise, meaningful declaration. While balancing diverse perspectives presented challenges, the process taught us the value of sacrifice, compromise, and unity.

Once finalized, the document was formally presented to the team, coaching staff, alumni, and supporters of our program. Today, it serves as the backbone of Marquette Women’s Soccer—memorized and upheld by every player. It is more than just words on a page; it is a commitment to excellence, integrity, and the relentless pursuit of growth, both on and off the field.
