In the spring of 2025, my Digital Marketing class collaborated with Visit Milwaukee, which required our small groups to create comprehensive marketing plans for the Milwaukee Theater District. At the time, the district was looking for ideas for attracting visitors from local states to its many activities and shows. My group used collaboration and creativity to stand out from our other classmates. Our deliverables included a detailed report and a 15-minute presentation showcasing our research, ideas, and strategic recommendations.
My role in the project focused on identifying the target market and creating customer segments and personas. I explored demographics, consumer trends, and pain points for the district using extensive data given by Visit Milwaukee. Throughout the semester, my team and I met frequently and completed the project in small parts, which we eventually culminated into one final project. We came up with great ideas for ads and a unique brand activation called "Stage-Side Selfie Experience." Together, we found a lot of interesting information about the Theater District and the motivations of its visitors. It was challenging to compete with our classmates and find unique ideas, but after months of research and collaboration, we presented our completed final project to our professor and peers.
Our work was met with high praise. After we finished, we confidently answered questions and demonstrated a strong grasp of the needs of Milwaukee's Theater District, making for a successful project.
